Our non-registered 50 bird target shoot has been a big success. It will continue on Monday evenings. All shooters are welcome. See details on the website: NLFG.ORG.

The Trap Range will be open Tuesday evenings at 5 PM for practice shooting. Due to rising target costs, prices this season will be $7.00 for members and $7.50 for non-members. You must have your membership card to receive the discount.

The club office will be closed on Sundays for the foreseeable future.

Our next Steel Challenge shoot will be Sunday, October 20th. Details are on the website. Go to the black header at the top of the page, click on USPSA and Steel Challenge for the full schedule.

Euchre
Every Friday evening at 7 PM. Plenty of room for more tables and players. Call Joe for details at 330-353-0337.

Our fall new membership deal is still on and has been a huge success! At the September Membership meeting, we brought in 5 new members. This amounted to a $2,400.00 gain in our general fund. There is still time to sign up. Thanks to all the members who promote this deal.

New Memberships
If you know of someone who is interested in joining our club and likes a deal, now is the time to act. We are again having our fall membership special. Join now and receive a full 2025 membership plus the balance of this year included. Tell your friends about this great opportunity.

Rifle Range
The berm for the 25-yard target board is complete. We will get the target board built.

The Club once again will have a table at the Stark Gun Collectors gun show on October 4th and 5th. We could use some fresh faces to talk to people about the Club and what we have to offer.

Wanted: M1 Garand or Carbine
The club is looking to purchase rifles for our gun raffles. If you have one of these rifles in good operating condition and would be willing to let it go for a reasonable price, please give us a call at 330-832-2411. The Club made good money on the raffles last time around.

We were recently informed of the passing of member Jim McLaughlin. Jim passed Monday, September 23rd. He was 78 years old. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of Jim’s family and friends.

Once again, remember one stray round leaving our ranges could be the end of our Club. Please use good common sense and shoot safely.

Rifle Range Closure Date Change
The decision has been made that the best way to safely shoot 25-yard targets on the rifle range will be to construct a backstop directly behind the target board. If all goes well, this work will take place on Monday, September 23rd, and Tuesday, September 24th. You can call the Club office number for updates.

Lake
AquaDoc completed their 10th biweekly inspection and reports that they applied algicide as needed. The lake has never looked better. They will be back in two weeks. I had a report of a 15-inch bass being caught, and the silver cats are also hitting.

The Club will once again have a table at the Stark Gun Collectors gun show in October. We could use some fresh faces to talk to people about the Club and what we have to offer.

The limestone backstops at the pistol and rifle range have been loosened up and new limestone added to them. This stone and the concrete walls behind them prevent damage and erosion to the earth behind them.
