The NLFG Retirees meeting is on the first Thursday of each month at 10:00 AM. The meeting is opened by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to our Flag and a Prayer.
This is an informal social meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to promote friendship among members and to discuss the issues of the day. Political issues are generally avoided.
Topics of conversation include but are not limited to; Club business, the Club grounds such as the rifle and pistol ranges, trap range and lake, Club activities, gun control legislation, and many other topics of interest.
There is always a show and tell session where a monthly topic is discussed such as a specific type of firearm or other items of interest are shown and discussed.
There is a 50/50 drawing each month. The profits from this drawing pay for the coffee and donuts that are served. The remaining funds are used to purchase items for the various activities at the Club.
February is a special month. The meeting starts at 9 AM. A breakfast of sausage gravy over biscuits is served. There is a groundhog shoot using the indoor pellet rifle range and the Club’s pellet rifles. The first prize is bragging rights for the next eleven months. The mascot of the day is our own famous Bodill Phil.
Hoping to see you all at the next meeting.
