Here is what’s going on Down Range at North Lawrence Fish and Game

Week ending Sunday December 17th 2023

Membership Meeting: Thursday, December 14th at 7 pm.

Christmas Season Food Drive: NLFG is conducting its annual Christmas season food drive. If you are planning on attending a club function, please bring a non-perishable item with you. Our Thanksgiving food drive was a huge success, and everything that was donated went to the Chapel of the Cross.

Club Office Hours: The Club office will be open Sundays from noon until 2 pm for raffle ticket sales and 2024 dues payments.

Holiday Closures: The club office will be closed Sunday, December 24th, and Sunday, December 31st, in observance of Christmas and New Years.

Trap Range Closure: The trap range is closed for the season.

Christmas Day Closure: The ranges will be closed on Monday, December 25th, in observance of Christmas. There is no shooting allowed at any of the ranges.

Turkey Shoot: There will be a Turkey shoot on Sunday, December 10th. Doors open at 8, and shooting starts at 9. Breakfast will be available. The next shoot will be on December 17th.

Indoor Archery and Air Rifle Programs: The indoor Archery and air rifle programs will be open on Sunday, December 10th, and 17th. Hours are 11 am until 3 pm. This program is for kids of all ages who are interested in Archery. Details at

White Death Sniper Match: There will be a White Death Sniper Match at our rifle range on January 27th. Details on the website.

Officer Nominations: At the Membership meeting in November, we had our second round of nominations for officers for 2024. We had no nominations for Treasurer for 2024. There will, however, be an election for 2 one-year trustees since we have 3 candidates for these offices. If you are interested in being on the Board, let us know.

Traders Day: Traders Day will be Saturday, February 17th, from 9 to 1 at the Clubhouse, 15325 Lawmont Ave NW, North Lawrence, OH 44666. 20 tables are available for rent. Only items allowed for sale are hunting, fishing, shooting sports, and sportsman’s related items. NO flea market goods. Tables are $20 each and are available for Club members only at this time. Contact Mike Heaberlin to reserve a table at or 330-807-0810.

Euchre Night: Euchre every Friday evening at 7 pm. Plenty of room for more tables and players. Call Joe for details at 330-353-0337.

Gun Raffle: The next gun raffle will be for a choice of an M1 Carbine or an M1 Garand. This raffle is sold out and will be drawn at the December membership meeting. The next raffle will be for whichever rifle we have left or $500.00 in cash or your choice of a field can of 30.06 or 30 Carbine ammo. Your choice. Same deal. $10.00 per ticket, only 200 tickets sold. Stop by the Clubhouse during open hours to purchase tickets.

Help the Club: Want to do something to help the Club out? Something that won’t cost you anything and any of you can do. Sign up a new member. If you hear someone talking about firearms, ask them where they shoot. Tell them about our club and bring them out and give them a tour of the place. Signing up new members will help keep membership costs down. If half of our members would sign up a new member, it would really help out.

2024 Dues Payments: 2024 Dues payments, according to NLFG bylaws article VI item 3, “member dues must be paid by December 31st for the next year.” To facilitate this, we will be accepting dues payments on Sundays during office open hours. Or you can mail your completed membership renewal form along with a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Club. Membership forms are available for downloading and printing on the website. Thank you for your continued support.

Happy Holidays
