Ladies Night update

From Sue Heckel:

Thank you to the Board of Directors for supporting Ladies Night on the Range every Thursday night during the summer months. There was a nice group of ladies who practiced their skills while following the four rules of gun safety.

There were several ladies who attended during the summer of 2024 and came back this summer. Additionally, a couple of ladies who had no previous shooting experience came and learned how to safely shoot and loved it.

The weather did not always cooperate; it rained every Thursday night in June and it seemed as though the hottest day of the week fell on Thursday. Regardless, everyone who attended improved their skills, made some new friends and are looking forward to doing it again next year.

Last week’s Retirees meeting included some trap practice. Thanks to Jeff and another member (sorry, I need to get your name) for supplying the throwers and targets.

Come join the fun at the next meeting October 2nd. Show and tell will be knife sharpening.

NLFGC Gun Raffle is back!
Tickets are $10.00 and will be available at the next Membership Meeting.
Winner will have their choice of either a Kimber .45 ACP or S&W .357 Magnum handguns or a Henry rifle. See Ron Krysiak.

The Fall Membership Special is now being offered
If you know of someone who would like to join our Club as a new member they can do so now until the end of the year and receive the remainder of 2025 free! Their dues will be paid through all of 2026.

Attendance to the monthly safety/orientation meeting (second Thursday of the month) and membership vote approval is still required to receive a membership card.

If you haven’t participated in any of the weekly shoots (see below) you owe it to yourself to come out and join in. The summer is rapidly moving along.

50 Bird Trap Program — Mondays throughout the summer. See the flyer on our home page for details.

Tuesday night trap practice — Time is 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Cost per round is $7.00 for members (must have your badge) and $7.50 for non-members.

Euchre every Friday evening at 7:00 pm — Plenty of room for more tables and players. Call Joe for details at 330-353-0337.

According to Club By-Laws, annual membership dues are to be determined at the membership meeting in July.

During the August meeting, the membership was presented with a typical year’s (2024) expenses. The Board recommended setting the dues at $300. After lengthy discussion a vote was taken. The membership voted to approve the Board’s recommendation by 24-2.

Therefore, 2026 dues for all members will be $319.50 including tax. Please email the Club at nlfgoffice@gmail.com if you have questions. Membership renewal forms for 2026 will be available in the next few weeks.

Remember that the plastic RFID membership card you have is your permanent membership card. You will use it for as long as your membership is current.

If you still do not have your card for 2025, please contact the office as soon as possible.

We still have NLFGC logo hats, mugs, and tumblers available for purchase.

Stay safe
