All of the safety “Cease Fire” flags at the pistol range have been repaired. Thanks to Club Member Bill Goebel for volunteering his time to do this. That being said, please use the larger diameter bar at the near left bay as you enter the range to activate the signs. Do not grab the individual signs to try and raise/lower them. Thank you.

The Fall Membership Special is now being offered. If you know of someone who would like to join our Club as a new member, they can do so now until the end of the year and receive the remainder of 2025 free! Their dues will be paid through all of 2026. Attendance at the monthly safety/orientation meeting (second Thursday of the month) and membership vote approval is still required to receive a membership card.

We would like to start a membership drive committee as well. If you have any ideas and would like to participate, please email the Club at nlfgoffice@gmail.com

Please remember to sign the log sheet when you come to fish. Also, record your catch. This is very important and will help determine any restocking of fish. Your guests are also required to sign in and record their catch as well.

The Boy Scouts will be participating in Pack Day & camp out this weekend. All ranges will be open, but be aware they will also be using the facilities. Please show them the same courtesy you would any other fellow members.

Steel Challenge next shoot is July 20th. The Pistol range (and Event Range) will be closed during this event.

Results from Last Saturday’s Rimfire Match: We had 8 shooters, two were Juniors. We made $330 for the club. We will be having another match on Saturday, September 13. Ammunition will be provided while it lasts.
We gave away about 1,000 rounds of ammunition to the competitors. Each competitor got 100 rounds and they were able to get another box of 50 rounds if they signed up for a reshoot. Thanks to Arthur Karas and his staff for organizing this event.

If you see an open lid on any of the large dumpsters, please close it. The Club gets charged a fee for open lids. Please remember to clean up the ranges after shooting. This includes repairing any target stands that may have been damaged during your visit. As always, we encourage you to bring your own target stands.

There have been several inquiries about opening the 5 Stand. We’re almost ready but cannot do it without your help. If you would like to participate in getting this up and running, please contact Nick Jessup (330-697-1596). This would be a great asset to our Club.

Since the last work party cleanup, the Club is looking very nice. Several Board members have heard positive comments about it. Let’s keep it going! Next time you load your vehicle for some shooting practice or fishing, why not throw in your favorite weed whacker and spend a few minutes anywhere there are overgrown weeds. It would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Youth Outdoor Day went on as scheduled for those willing to ignore the weather. There were over 40 kids and their parents attending. Thanks to everyone and their wives who helped make this an enjoyable event despite the weather.

Report from the lake team:
36 anglers caught 116 fish. Group 5 had the highest catch with 37.

Once again all the kids seemed to have a great time and the parents were very appreciative of our efforts. Hope to see you all again next year.
