Here is what’s going on Down Range at North Lawrence Fish and Game

Week ending Sunday August 18th 2024

Our non-registered 50 bird target shoot has been a big success. It will continue on Monday evenings. All shooters are welcome. See details on the website: NLFG.ORG.

The Trap Range will be open Tuesday evenings at 5 pm for practice shooting. Due to rising target costs, prices this season will be $7.00 for members and $7.50 for non-members. You must have your membership card to receive the discount.

Help needed!
Work party: On August 21st at 8 am, we will be receiving a truckload of Trap targets. We could use a few guys to help get the 24 pallets unloaded and into the building.

The club office will be closed on Sundays for the foreseeable future. Dues can always be paid by mail. Please get your dues payments in as soon as possible.

Our next Steel Challenge shoot will be Sunday, August 18th. Details are on the website. Go to the black header at the top of the page, click on USPSA and Steel Challenge for the full schedule.

Ladies’ night at the range is back. Guys, please show this email to your wife, girlfriend, daughter, sister, and any other woman in your life. Please see the attached flyer for all the details. Hope you can make it Thursday evenings.

New Memberships:
If you know someone interested in joining our club and likes a deal, now is the time to act. We are again having our fall membership special. Join now and receive a full 2025 membership plus the balance of this year included. Tell your friends about this great opportunity.

When visiting the ranges, you must wear your membership card. Having it in your shooting bag or truck does not count. Also, you and any guest you bring must sign the logbook upon arriving at the range. All guests must pay the guest fee before using the facilities. Remember to sign out at the end of your visit. Following these simple rules should not be too much to ask of our members and guests. We are getting reports of non-members being present at the range. These people are trespassing on Club property and could possibly be prosecuted. Do not give your membership card to anyone else to use. You could lose your membership privileges.

Thanks to the hard work and efforts of Vice President Nick Jessup, Treasurer Chuck Sine, and Trustees Mark Fisher, Dave Kehner, and Ed Merical, we now have a 25-yard sight-in target board at the Rifle range. After much discussion, the location chosen was deemed to be the safest one to avoid stray bullets leaving the range. Thanks for all your hard work, guys. Please use all our ranges safely.

Sunday June 9th was our 18th annual Youth Outdoor Day. The weather was perfect for 46 youth and their guardians to come out and experience our facility. A big thank you to all our volunteers who spent the day at the Club to share their talents with all our visitors.

Sunday, June 9th is our 18th annual Youth Outdoor Day. With the event just 2 days away, we are still short of volunteers to help with the event. We need several group leaders to escort groups from one station to another. Please help if you can.

Thanks to everyone who came out for the work party last Saturday. The place looks great!

With the addition of the Bobcat zero-turn mower, the guys who do the mowing have been able to finally keep up with their work. Thanks to Nick, Chuck, and Andrew.

NEW MONDAY NIGHT TRAP EVENT! Starting Monday, June 3rd, we will be hosting a 50 bird non-registered trap program. Complete details are on the website.
